Voice of Care
Strategic Plan: 2021-2025 Voice of Care – Outcome Based Strategic Planning – A New Way Moving Forward Voice of Care is committed to our purpose, mission and vision of full inclusion of people who experience disabilities to fully participate in the life of the Body of Christ in which their God-given gifts are fully valued and respected. But how do we know what’s working, and what’s not? And how can we work together within our local churches to bring us closer to our vision? The answer is Outcome-Based Strategic Planning — the structure for the Voice of Care 2021-2025 strategic plan. Outcome-Based Strategic Planning will allow us to assess local church needs, supported by measurable goals, all aligned towards our strategic outcomes. This will ensure that the important collaborative work between Voice of Care and the local church is properly aligned, creating better outcomes and bringing Voice of Care closer to its purpose and vision. Outcome #1 People living with disabilities and their families experience services consistent with our Statement of Purpose. Some of what you are going to see We’re going to invest in our local churches to ensure they have the tools, resources, and coaching to support church professionals and lay volunteers to demonstrate Voice of Care purpose in every circumstance. We will use innovation and best practices to share our purpose that reflect what Voice of Care is all about. Ministry Model Applied Primary – Congregational Ministry Secondary – Disability Awareness, Outdoor Ministry, Facilities Ministry, Respite Care Ministry Here-to-There FROM church professionals and lay volunteers not having a line of sight into the real needs of people who experience disabilities TO church professionals and lay volunteers are well equipped to building their congregations in which every person is equally valued and respected. Outcome #2 People living with disabilities will experience Christian fellowship as the local church gathers to praise and worship Jesus. Some of what you are going to see You will see people living with disabilities experience all aspects of Christian fellowship. Fellowship happens as we talk together, eat together, work, celebrate and serve together. We share our lives and our faith and look for God's grace at work in our faith community. People who experience disabilities will have a seat at the table where sharing and fellowship take place. Ministry Model Applied Primary – Congregational Ministry Secondary – Facilities Ministry, Outdoor Ministry, Respite Care Ministry Here-to-There FROM a passing hello and wave goodbye in fellowship hall TO participating and sharing needs, for prayer, for discussing and sharing the Word to encourage, comfort and edify one another. Outcome #3 People living with disabilities will experience services that support their ongoing discipleship journey. Some of what you are going to see You will see people who experience disabilities have the opportunity to grow in the Lord Jesus Christ and to be equipped by the Holy Spirit while becoming more and more Christ like.
