Ministry Facilitator Deaconess Sarah Gaffney
Deaconess Sarah Gaffney serves the southern region of the Northern Illinois District. She began her ministry with Voice of Care over the summer. Sarah served in congregational youth ministry for five years before becoming a stay-at-home mom. She and her husband Patrick have been married for 24 years and were blessed with five active children. Recently, Sarah has been a substitute teacher for a number of school districts while pursuing a Master of Special Education with a teaching license. Sarah received her training through Concordia University Chicago in River Forest, Illinois and is working toward her Master’s at Governor’s State University. Not only is Sarah a member of the Concordia Deaconess Conference, but she is also a great taxi driver and cheerleader as she takes her children to their sundry sporting and music events.
