JAMES: "Why don’t people believe in God?”
After a Voice of Care-coordinated chapel service at a Ray Graham Association center in Addison, Illinois, Reverend Paul Klopke, North Region Director, had a chance to minister and speak with the facility residents one on one. He took time to visit with James, a middle age man, who was obviously concerned and distraught. In halting, broken speech he asked Pastor Paul, “Why don’t people believe in God?” Pastor Paul thought to himself, “Wow! This man has mental and speech disabilities, and yet, his concern is not with his own limitations but for the eternal well-being of others.” James, despite his disabilities, is selflessly focused on others and carries a burden for the people who do not believe in God. He believes; why can’t the world believe?
